Age is just a number. This should not hinder those who are 60 years old and above to travel and to see the world in a different light. Just like any other tourists, senior citizens should have with them a travel insurance. There is one problem though. Most insurance companies do not offer travel insurance policies for seniors. Some may offer but with very little coverage and others offer travel insurance but at a higher rate.

One might be wondering why insurance companies are stricter when it comes to senior citizens. One reason could be the perception that older people are more prone to sickness and injury.
