Medicare Billing in Australia

As a resident of Australia and note that you don’t have to be a citizen, you’re allowed to have the benefits of Medicare — the public health insurance. You may opt going to a doctor who will, in turn, bill directly the government for the medical services and/or treatment provided. This is known or referred to as bulk billing. You may also go to a physician who won’t bill the government directly; instead, you will only pay for the difference between the doctor’s allowed charge and the amount of the government’s reimbursement.
